About
For 15+ years, I’ve built brands, products, and experiences for companies ranging from early-stage startups to Nike, Xbox, Philips, HP, and P&G.
Through it all, I’ve learned that the strongest brands rarely suffer from a lack of ideas. They suffer from too many of them.
That’s where distillation comes in.

Method
Years ago, while working on P&G, I was invited to a confidential off-site meeting. I can’t share most of what happened there, which admittedly makes the story sound more exciting than it probably was.
What I can say is that the room was filled with very smart people, a lot of research, and more ideas than any brand could possibly communicate.
Everything felt important. Every benefit deserved attention. Every audience needed something slightly different. The natural response was to keep adding until the answer became buried beneath all the possibilities.
